My Story

I’ve always known what it’s like to travel solo, not just as a tourist, but as a woman finding her way around the world.

My military career took me across continents, with years spent living in Asia and the Middle East. But my first true solo adventure? That one came unexpectedly.

During my first deployment, I was on a ship cruising the Mediterranean. I decided to make the most of it and backpack through Europe afterward. A friend on board was eager to join, and we spent months planning the perfect itinerary.

And then, she bailed.

I could’ve canceled. But instead, I packed my bag, grabbed my dog-eared copy of Fodor’s Europe on $5 a Day, and went anyway.

That decision changed everything

I navigated new cities, crossed language barriers, figured out foreign transit systems, and wandered from London to Paris to Amsterdam completely on my own. What started as Plan B became the beginning of something much bigger, a lifelong love affair with solo travel.

Since then, I’ve visited over 50 countries across six continents, mostly solo. And now, I help other women discover that same sense of freedom, confidence, and joy.
